By the looks of the trailer for The Get Down, Nextflix has another winner on their hands.
Created by Baz Luhrmann who is famous for his films including The Great Gasby and Moulin Rouge, The Get Down follows a group of youngster in the South Bronx during the 1970’s where hip-hop was birthed.
The Get Down stars Jimmy Smits (“Francisco Cruz” aka “Papa Fuerte”), Herizen Guardiola (“Mylene Cruz”), Jaden Smith (Marcus “Dizzie” Kipling), Justice Smith (“Ezekiel”), Shameik Moore (“Shaolin Fantastic”), Yahya Abdul-Mateen (“Cadillac”) and Mamoudou Athie (“Grandmaster Flash”).
